Unfortunately, quite a few people who have a “breakthrough” moment like this tend to very quickly return to their previous way of being– unconfident, stuck, fearful, anxious– and wondering what happened? Why could they walk on hot coals when the drums were drumming and people were cheering, but two weeks later they were back where they started?
So, for those backslidden firewalkers, while on the surface they were highly expressive and motivated to “change the world,” at a deep, deep, deep level they didn’t buy it yet–they continued to see themselves in the same old way. For the change to “take,” these people need to change their negative self-image. The problem is that, because it is operating below the level of consciousness, they are not aware of the problem. The way around this is by direct communication with the subconscious through hypnotic suggestions and commands.
Hypnotherapy is a practice that has been around for thousands of years and has been shown to be highly effective in boosting one’s self-esteem and confidence. Hypnotherapy removes negative, harmful, obsolete thoughts with positive, healthy, resourceful thoughts. Changed thoughts lead to changed actions which lead to changed lives.
The best way to go about this is to meet with a certified hypnotherapist to discuss what you want to change. Hypnotherapy can be extremely helpful in dealing with addictions, pain, self-esteem, weight loss, motivation, and many other issues.
The second best way to go about this is with self-hypnosis audios. There are many different programs on the internet. The best ones are those by someone trained in hypnosis and has been practicing as a hypnotherapist for a number of years. My personal favorites (and the ones which I use regularly myself) are from two sources: Steve G. Jones and Glenn Harrold. Both of them have produced audios on a wide range of topics and I highly recommend either of them. While these are not as personalized and specifically targeted as you would get with a live session, the audios are still highly effective technologies for change.
How long will it take? If you do a Google search for self-hypnosis audios, you’ll turn up numerous offers that make outlandish claims about “instant” this or “immediate” that. Frankly, it doesn’t usually work that way. If you commit to daily application, you’ll begin to notice changes around the 3 week mark.
Hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis have assisted thousands of people to achieve their goals by creating a new self-image of higher confidence and self-esteem. As a result, people have performed better, which has led to better job performance, business success, and personal relationships. Hypnotherapy can lead you down a path towards a more rewarding and fulfilling life.
