Most of the time you associate drinking caffeine, as something which is bad for you. When it comes to your memory, though, this may be another ball game altogether. A study back in 2014, conducted by the John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland determined that caffeine can improve certain memories for up to a day after the memory has been formed.
This seems to help solidify the reasoning behind students drinking energy drinks and filling up on coffee and tea right before an exam. A shot of caffeine can boost your memory. Previously any findings on the benefits of caffeine had been dismissed. So why now are people agreeing that caffeine can indeed help?
Whatever you’re trying to accomplish, clarity is paramount. Being consistent and staying on track is largely a result of being unambiguous about your life and purpose. Fortunately, getting clarity in your life is easy with a little daily effort.
Having clear goals is critical. Your brain is much more capable of finding solutions if the objective is obvious. You’ll also stay on track more easily if the end result is clear to you. If you don’t have a specific endpoint in mind, you could end up anywhere. And even if you do land in the right place by sheer luck, how would you know you were there? Unless you’re a Zen Master, you certainly encounter distractions from time to time that minimize your effectiveness in getting your work done. The internet is especially disrupting with email, messages, status updates, and more. But distractions also include co-workers, family, and our own wandering minds. It seems that we dawdle our lives away five minutes at a time. The big question is how to defeat this tendency.
