My partner in the dialog asked, “Why am I not getting the thing I want?” In this particular case, it was a promotion at work, but it could be anything–maybe you want to find a fulfilling life partner, or you’d like to be more confident, or make more sales calls, or make a significant change in career or life style or whatever it may be. Part of the answer is this: you need to be receptive and open to actually receive it.
